Vitralit® 506-40-1 is a UV light & visible curing, plastic bonding adhesive. With a short cure time and a dry to touch cured surface, it has a good adhesion to many plastics including acrylic, polycarbonate as well as to many metal substrates like aluminium, steel, ceramics and glass.

Vitralit® 506-40-1 is a UV light and visible light curing plastic bonding adhesive. With a short cure time and a dry to touch cured surface, it has a good adhesion to many plastics including acrylic, polycarbonate as well as to many metal substrates like aluminium, steel, ceramics and glass. Vitralit® 506-40-1 is has a medium viscosity of 1000mPas to 2500 mPas making it easy to use either manually or with a dispenser. The cured adhesive is semi-flexible and very versatile offering some resistance to vibration, impact and shock. Vitralit® 506-40-1 has an operating temperature range of -50 degrees C to +150 degrees C. It can be used for bonding clear plastics in the manufacture of lecturns, furniture, trophies, decorative art. It can be used for potting or sealing electrical switches and plugs to s depth of 3mm, and can even be used as a “form in place gasket” and is an ideal alternative to using UV curing silicone.
